A Quick History of the Guild

The Motley Writers Guild, started out as a bunch of individuals floating in the ether of creativeness and big dreams, then we came together through complete and utter chance to make a slurry of writerly goodness

They individually planned to participate in NaNoWriMo 2021, so it was suggested they create a support group which was named the Motley Writers Guild. Through NaNoWriMo they kept each other going, and accountable, often sharing word counts and inspiration. Em was the only winner that year, but they all won something better: The Guild.

Adding A.D. Moseley was a no-brainer. She and Em were long-time critique partners and close friends. The Guild was happy to have her!

Later, The Guild was expanded to include A Leno and Kieran O’Connor.

Together, the Motley Writers Guild formed into the group it is today. Since its inception it has been a wealth of support and knowledge, helping individuals grow as creatives.
