Thanks for reading! We appreciate your support of the Guild. We took a bit of a hiatus over the summer to enjoy ourselves and focus on our personal lives. Now that things are winding down and we’re heading into fall we hope to be back to a semi-consistent posting schedule, but due to various factors we’ll probably do seasonal posts instead of monthly.
For a while I’ve been doing the majority of the blogging for the MWG after some large changes happened in the spring of 2023. Since then we’ve been working on membership and engagement within the Guild, but it’s been a learning experience for sure. Some people left, some people joined, and overall I had high hopes for the Motley Writers Guild persevering. We had started out as a NaNoWriMo support/friend group and it was one of the places in my life I felt the safest and most supported.
But things change, and people change, and now we are in a place where the Guild could use some fresh voices and fresh ideas. I can’t continue to do so much of the admin work (and I am burnt out on the blogging aspect), but I don’t want to see this lovely website and such a great group of writers go away.
